Discovering the territory:
URBINO: Urbino, located 20 minutes from Peglio, is an example of architecture jewel, today UNESCO heritage. It is famous for the Ducal Palace, called the “Palace City”, was the Duke Federico from Montefeltro court, where he hosted the more important artists of the epoch. The complex palace architecture, with its typical “torricini”, located on the west side, toward the Massa Trabaria, had been created by the Dalmatian architect Luciano Laurana, to which followed Francesco di Giorgio Martini from Siena, who worked al lot in our territory, overall in military structures. Inside the palace is hosted The Marche National Gallery, with the masterpieces of Raffaello Sanzio, Piero della Francesca, Tiziano, Signorelli, Barocci and many others important authors. 
Walking the tight alleys of the city and the steep “piole”, you will discover very old oratories, the cathedral and its typical Caves, churches with Gothic portals and the magnificent Botanical Garden. Finally, all who will climb up to the hill peak with the Albornoz Fortress , will enjoy a breathtaking landscape on the ancient city and on the surrounding hills. Since many years, in summer the city relives the Urbino court magnificent life with an historic three days commemoration during which, in the mid of August, chivalrous tournaments, traditional costumes parades and performances ofparticular events of the Duke Federico epoch drive back to the past the city centre.
