The Frasassi's site is estabilished by thousand-year nether carsiche caves, that are located inside of natural regional Park of Gola della Rossa and of Frasassi at the municipality of Genga at Ancona's province and they represent one of the most spectacular complex carsici of the uncovered world the 27 september 1971. Forms and dimensions of these natural work have stimulated speleologist's fantasy, who after these discoveries, have given different and curious names. Among the most famous “stalactites” and “ stalagmites” we can remember: the “Giants”, the “ Camels”, the “Dromedaries”, the “Bears”, the “Madonnina”, the “Damocle's sword” (stalactite of 7,40 m of heith and 150 cm of diameter) “ Niagara's waterfall”, “Bacon's slice”, “Obelisk” (stalagmite of 15 m at the centre of the sale 200) , “organ's reeds”(concrezioni conico-lamellari that make music if you touch them), “Witch's castle”.
Inside the caves there are also a few pools in which water's constant trickle stagnates and wells, cylindrical cavity deep up to 25 m that can pick up water and convoy it toward lower layers.
